Our house is situated in the centre of the sunny village of Winnebach, around 6km from Innichen. The small, quiet village (1,131 m over sea level) is an ideal base for excursions and sports, whether it’s in the Dolomites - the UNESCO cultural heritage site - or in neighbouring East Tirol/Austria.
Your summer holiday
Guests who love walking and hiking in the mountains will love it! Explore green alpine meadows, unique mountain peaks and indulge in Tyrolean delicacies at the idyllic Alpine huts and mountain refuges.
Close by, the Drau bicycle route runs past our house, and a slight descent will take you to the city of Lienz in East Tirol (you can return by train for a comfortable route) or cycle towards Toblach - Cortina d’Ampezzo or Bruneck. Numerous mountain bike tours can start directly from the village, e.g. up onto the Marchkinkele. You are welcome to park your bikes in our shed.
Children will love the playground nearby and the Aquafun swimming pool in Innichen.
Your winter holiday
Enjoy skiing and snowboarding on 100 kilometres of piste in the Drei Zinnen Dolomite ski region with 5 connected mountains: Helm, Stiergarten, Rotwand, Kreuzbergpass and Col d'la Tenda, the Haunold in Innichen or nearby Thurntaler in East Tirol. A few steps from the house, you will find the bus stop which has hourly busses to the ski areas.
If you are into cross-country skiing, you will find many well-prepared tracks in the Hochpustertal. You can get on the cross-country track a few minutes from the house. If you are into ski touring or snowshoeing, there are many great tours, with loads of variety to make the heart pound. You will find sledging pistes and well cared for winter walking routes practically on your doorstep.
At the end of the day, you can return to relax and rejuvenate in the calm ambience of our house!
